Lord Flea

Undoubtedly a clip from "Bop Girl Goes Calypso" (1957). real calypso/mento performances are hard to come by.

I sing and I always think that raw and down to earth music is still the best. This is Mento and it is raw and down to earth music, it is also the Blues and you can hear traces of that in it and you can also hear the influence that it has undoubtably had on ska, rocksteady and reggae music in general.

Great and interesting thread Ska Very Happy
