Glastonbury. The Isle of Avalon shrouded in Arthurian legend but nowadays perhaps better known for its musical festival which is held at Pilton a few miles down the road. I have never been to the festival but I have visited Glastonbury several times. I climbed up the Tor and steep and tiring as it was it was harder coming down. It's claimed by some that Merlin is buried inside and along with many other places locally it is linked with a mystical past now long gone.

Truthy - when I have time I'll comment on Glastonbury. But, yes, it is a magical place. I climbed the Tor late one evening and the scene over the Somerser Levels is gorgeous in the moonlight

Believe it or not, the morning I climbed up there my friends were still asleep and in the tower at the top there was a ready made spliff and an unopend can of beer awaiting me. No wonder I found it harder coming down than going up.

Albert Bridge SW3. I spent many an hour near there. On one side is Chelsea and on the other Battersea Park.

That is too weird I was just going to do Morecambe but from a different angle
I'll do it in a moment
How about this angle We came, We so, We conquered, 8000 mods made it a lively plaice in 1984, the good old day's
Morecambe Scooter Rally 1984
I worked on a couple of schemes in Morecambe for a good number of months over the last few years, it's dirty and awful now and very much like a ghost town, though they have spent a lot on the sea front and makes it look a lot better, and you cant take away those breathtaking views.

some of the places i went cycling when i was a teen we used to go and get wasted in all these places
it kind of takes something away from the beauty don't you think lol
the one with the bluebells is just off the cuckoo trail which was our main connecting road to anywhere with the added benefit of being able to stop and roll a joint when we wanted without being disturbed by johnny law

I have seen all those places too but that Bluebell wood has moved me. I could imagine frollicking and hiding behind trees in a long white flowing gown and bare feet in the dew and the smell of fragrant bluebells whisping against my toes.

The Cerna Abbas Giant, Dorset. I was on the road for a few years and stayed for awhile at a monastery near here. There were also some bluebell woods here. Peaceful and relaxing.

Byron's Pool, Grantchester. About 10 minuets walk from where I live. This where Lord Byron used to swim in his days at Cambridge and his ghost is alleged to swim in there in the moonlight. This photo doesn't do it justice.
